Guides
Written for cubers who can already solve the thing and now want to do it faster, in front of people, under rules. No algorithm dumps — those are in the algorithm database. These are about the parts nobody explains.
Your first WCA competition
What actually happens on the day, hour by hour: registration, the competitor badge, being called to the stage, judging someone else, and signing the scorecard.
Why your solves fall apart under pressure
The mechanism behind competition nerves, why "just relax" is useless advice, and how to train the conditions rather than the solves.
The WCA regulations, explained
Inspection, the +2, what actually counts as a DNF, and how an average of five differs from a mean of three — in plain English.
Learning OLL and PLL without burning out
An order that sticks, why recognition is the real bottleneck, and how to stop full OLL from making you slower for three months.
CFOP, Roux or ZZ?
An honest comparison of the three main 3x3 methods — what each is actually good at, and why the answer for most people is boring.
How WCA scrambles work
Random state versus random moves, what TNoodle does, and why your "easy" scramble was not the scrambler being kind to you.
Start somewhere
If you have never competed, read the competition guide first — most of what puts people off a first competition is not knowing the shape of the day. If you have competed and it went badly, the piece on pressure is the one.
Then go and practise the thing you are actually nervous about: run a simulated round with real scrambles, enforced inspection and a scorecard you cannot restart.
